Your Bio
Totem Imaging is a professional photography studio located in Sammamish High School. It was started in 2003 as a way of teaching students about the business of Photography. We have been hired to photograph many different events from seniors to weddings, and we photograph portraits at dances here at Sammamish High school. The proceeds from these photographs goes directly back into the Sammamigh High School photography program.
My name is Jason Moodie and I have the honor of working with these students. I am a National Board Certified Teacher, I hold a Masters degree in Education, and continue to learn new and interesting techniques and ideas to share with my students. I have have the honor of being the Secondary Art Educator of the year (05/06).
I was born to be a teacher. I love coming to work every day and sharing the arts with such a great population of students. As an artist I love to work with many different media, but have found a home with photography and glass blowing, and more recently, book making and mixed media sculpture. I am confident that the students I teach now will be better informed citizens, and more appreciative of the world around them, that is my duty. I teach the arts, and I am proud of it.
I am the Advisor to the Sammamish High School chapter of the National Art Honor Society, Art Club, Totem Imaging, and Impulse Magazine.
